So, what is Boat Safe you ask?
It's an innovative service that made it's debut on Lake Hamilton in 2007. A service that promises to change your view of recreational boating forever! It can be fun and hassle-free, you can enjoy your outings without fear of unexpected breakdowns or mishaps! That's what we're here for!
Boat Safe Towing & Rescue is a 24-hour boat towing and marine emergency service on beautiful Lake Hamilton. We operate in cooperation with the Garland County Sheriff's Department and Lake Hamilton Marine Patrol Association to provide a safe recreational boating environment.
Any experienced boater knows, and newbies will soon find out, when you're dealing with boats, well...stuff happens! It doesn't matter if you have the newest, most expensive boat or an old "hoopty"... stuff just happens!
Boat Safe can tow your disabled vessel to your home port, a nearby launch ramp, a repair facility or wherever you want it to go! We can deliver fuel or other necessary engine fluids, jump-start a dead battery or pull your boat off that elusive sandbar! And as much as we hope you'll never need us for this, we can also handle minor salvage operations if she sinks!
Boat Safe is brought to you by Clay Hays, the same guy that built this website and has served thousands of Tri-Lakes area boating enthusiasts for many years as parts manager, service manager or in sales at your local boat dealers, or at Dodd City Marina. I am pleased to serve you again, only this time I'll be out there on the water with you!
Boat Safe also has a membership program that promises to save you money when the above-mentioned mishaps occur and ensure your boating lifestyle is carefree like it oughta be! Here's an outline of the great benefits Boat Safe Members enjoy 24-hrs a day, 7 days a week, all season long:
- Free Service Calls* -
for emergency fuel delivery, jump-starts, simple ungroundings, etc.
- Free Towing* -
if your boat breaks down and leaves you stranded.
- Free Storm Watch* -
Within 24-hours of major storm activity, we'll make a special trip to check on your boat and report it's status via e-mail or text message. (Performed automatically for "absentee" members, upon request for full-time resident members.)
Sounds expensive, huh? Actually, you get all this for only $149/yr*!
Here's an example: Your boat breaks down and we come to tow you home. It takes 2 hours to get there, (because the average towing speed attainable with any boat is 5-6 mph!) at $80 an hour = $160. Now - if you were a Boat Safe Member, that $149/yr just paid for itself! Same goes for service calls - let's say you run out of gas; we come to the rescue, gas in hand, and that's all you'd pay for - the gas! It's a no-brainer people!!
The benefits listed above are all great! But the real advantage to being a Boat Safe Member is peace of mind. Your time on the lake should be relaxing & carefree, and there's no better way to guarantee that than signing up with Boat Safe!
Ladies! A lot of you would probably go boating on your own more if you knew help was but a phone call away! And how about you husbands and Dads! If you're still hard at work and the rest of the family has "started without you", wouldn't you feel better about them being out there knowing you had Boat Safe to come to their aid?
