By D. Clay Hays Hey Lake Rats, We're half-way there, only 4-1/2 feet to go. Here's what it looks like at this point (people were actually out today)...  Lakes Hamilton and Catherine will begin Phase 2 of the 2009 Refill Sunday, March 8, and be at full level by March 15. Now is when things really start rocking so mind your boats & docks. I've rescued someone's boat and my own dock in the last few days! You know how you rescue your dock when your boat is in it and floating away too? Well, first you have to be lucky enough to be walking by the back door just at the right moment. Then you run like hell and walk right off into that cold-ass water and get it! Better take a long rope too because, this time of year, by the time you get to it you'll be too cold for anything other than a quick tie on and a shivery trip back to shore. And YES, this is the voice of experience talking, it did happen to me and I know what you're thinking - "Aren't you the Rescue Guy?" Yes I am, but this stuff happens to everybody. That's why I'm always reminding the other Lake Rats! Hey but it was really windy the day my dock got away so how about a pass?
